ImageForge Photo Editor is a great program that has many functions that are similar to Gimp. Hence, it just misses the top spot by a bit and is a close second place. Unlike Gimp, which runs with many windows, Photoscape uses a more traditional interface which only requires one window for photo editing and has a great introductory screen that contains tips to direct you to the appropriate features depending on your editing requirements. This traditional structure is well suited for people familiar with this set up. However, it does have a slight drawback: this program is built for PCs and is not supported in the Mac. So to recap, its selling point rests on the easy to use and intuitive interface, as well as the multiple functions available, and its largest drawback is that it is not compatible on an Apple platform.
